The Belgrade – Valjevo – Loznica gas pipeline project represents a major infrastructure system of national importance, whose safety and reliability play a key role in the supply of natural gas and the stability of the energy system. The fire protection and technical safety systems were designed in accordance with national regulations, European directives, and standards applicable to gas infrastructure (ATEX, EN).
Special emphasis was placed on defining hazardous zones in accordance with the classification of explosive atmospheres. This approach ensures the highest level of safety for the gas pipeline network, with clearly defined protection measures and controlled fire and explosion risks.
As part of the Belgrade – Valjevo – Loznica gas pipeline project, particular attention was given to fire and explosion protection through the definition and control of hazardous zones. Leak detection systems and safety valves ensure the complete safety of the infrastructure and a reliable natural gas supply throughout the region.
